World-class jazz music will be heard in the Kangasala Arts Centre, when jazz guitarist Mathias Sandberg and his trio play a release concert of his album The Captain.

Mathias Sandberg's debut solo record The Doctor (2020) has received rave reviews on both sides of the Atlantic and has received heavy airplay on jazz radio stations in Europe, the US, South America, Asia and Australia. Sandberg's long-awaited new trio album The Captain was released in March 2023. The 40-concert album release tour, stretching from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, will feature the trio's unique mix of "hard swingin', groovy & soulful jazz" with strong melodies, rhythmically playful improvisation and almost telepathic collaboration.
