Yes or no is a brand new group assembled specifically for this evening. The group concentrates solely on the music of Wayne Shorter, one of the most influential saxophonists & composers & thinkers of our time.

Wayne transitioned this realm on march 2nd 2023. His music has a very mysterious element to it, his compositions have a very distinctive character. His playing was always surprising and refreshing and surprising. It is important to keep his music and lineage alive.

The band´s drummer and assembler Joonas Leppänen, heard Wayne´s music as a teenager, and it has stayed with him ever since. After Waynes passing, it felt natural to gather a band of top notch finnish jazz musicians paying tribute to the grand master.
