Vocalist Kadi Vija's newest quartet released their debut album in May 2020, but never got to play the material live on tour, as the Jazz Finland tour was canceled, due to the pandemic. Now, a year later, the band goes on a “mini-tour” with three streamed concerts. The Joensuu concert will permit a small on-site audience within the public event restrictions. 
 
Vocalist-composer Kadi Vija has a long background in vocal jazz improvisation and she defines herself primarily as a vocal instrumentalist. Her uncommon singing approach is influenced by instrumental improvised music, flowing thoughts and abstractness. Estonian-born Vija has studied in several globally leading institutions, such as the Berklee College of Music, and the Conservatory van Amsterdam, and recently she finished her Master's at the Sibelius Academy Jazz Department. Vija's music draws from modernism, jazz and film scores. In her music and performance, she likes to test the limits of her comfort zone, and to do so with utmost sincerity.
