Jazz Finland Live

The traditional city festival Rauman Pitsiviikko is organised already the 44th time this year. The festival offers a wide range of activities for people of all ages from live music and performance arts to colourful open market atmosphere. Without forgetting the traditional skill of lace-making, which has lent the event its name. Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble will take the stage on Friday 25 July at Mustan pitsin yö (The Night of Black Lace).
The winning eight-piece Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble charms with compelling rhythms and joyuful live performances. The group fuses different genres such as traditional Beninese voodoo rhythms, funk, hip hop, jazz and afrobeat together, creating a tasty and irresistable musical cocktail.
