The International Jazz in the Park Competition is an event addressed to young national and international jazz bands. Its 6th edition will take place on May 1-3 2020, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The application deadline is February 29th.
"Creative Music and Sound Workshop" is held in Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki on 14th-15th March. The teacher of the course is saxophonist and composer Esa Pietilä. The course is suited for all instruments and vocalists, at all levels.
Crest Jazz Vocal takes place in Crest, Drôme in Southeast France between 28 to 31 July 2020.

The 14th Bucharest International Jazz Competition, 16 - 23 May 2020, is open to bands and vocalists of all nationalities.
Saxophonist Esa Pietilä’s popular Creative Music and Sound Worksoop takes place at Kaapelitehdas in Helsinki on 26 and 27 October. Course is aimed at everyone interested in creative expression and improvisation, regardless of the genre.
Jazz Finland (Suomen Jazzliitto) produces two tours and supports the production costs of two external tours in the fall of 2020. Additionally, Jazz Finland supports the annual Finnish-French Vapaat äänet tour. Application for the Jazz-Espa Festival 2020, taking place in July–August in Helsinki, can be completed with the same application form. The application is open from October 1 to November 4, 2019.
I-Park is now accepting applications for its fully-funded four-week autumn residencies. This multi-disciplinary program is open to composers and sound artists looking to enrich their practice in a collegial, retreat-like setting – in the company of artists working in visual arts, creative writing, moving image and architecture/landscape design.
