Jazz Finland produces two tours and supports two co-produced tours in the spring of 2020. The application to perform on or produce these tours in open on April 15 at 10am and closes on May 20 at 4pm.

A workshop and masterclass of music in the beautiful seaside community of Hanko will present students to new techniques of expression and improvisation on their instruments in group playing situations.
Jazz community coffee on Thursday the 12th of April at 3 - 5pm at Koko Jazz Club in Helsinki! On April 16, Jazz Finland opens the application for the Finnish tour productions in the spring season 2019. Before we hit the 'go' button, we'd like to take the time to present and discuss the touring system with the musicians, producers, agents, managers and the concert organizers.
Finnish Big Band Federation and Elojazz festival are holding a big band fanfare contest in August 2018. New entries are accepted until until the 15th of May.
Vantaan Viihdeorkesteri's international composition and arrangement contest accepts new entries until the 15th of June, 2018. The 28th Oulu Music Festival takes place on 11 - 24 March 2018, and the festival will host international master classes now for the sixth time. Master classes in violin, cello and piano will be organised in week 11 and the pop/jazz master classes in week 12. The application deadline is 22 January.
