Mikko Pellinen – NÄKYMÄ (Vision) is a new large-scale work exploring hope, climate change, social polarization and our relationship with the world around us. Composer and bassist Mikko Pellinen’s texts interact with the music, while an expressive jazz ensemble offers fresh perspectives on the defining questions of our time. The premiere will be performed by a newly formed sextet featuring the distinctive vocalist and cellist Anni Elif as soloist. Blending personal reflections with broader societal themes, the work invites listeners to imagine possible futures and their own role in shaping them.
