Jazz Finland Live

Saxophonist Mikko Innanen’s new ensemble combines Finnish poetry with contemporary jazz. The lyrics are mainly by Outi-Illuusia Parviainen and the music is mostly Innanen’s own. The generations-bridging quintet blends beauty and roughness with an attitude where jazz is about how, not what. The ensemble’s first album will be released on a Finnish tour in the fall of 2025.
