Aurora Hentunen is a diverse pianist-composer, who brings her band Aurora Hentunen Quintet to Tenho on the 4th of August 2024. The concert includes new music from her upcoming album, where acoustic and electronic sounds are combined in Nordic jazz and pop-ambient production. In addition to leading her own band, Hentunen is known for her compositions, e.g. for Big Bands and string ensembles.

Hentunen's third album Little Further, which will be released on the 18th of October 2024 on Eclipse Music, reflects the state of being during the last few years, forced collective stagnation and uncertainty of the future. However, it gently guides the listener to continue their journey and to believe in tomorrow. The album features GRAMMY-award winning bassist Linda May Han Oh (Pat Metheny Group, Vijay Iyer) on a recently released single Gray Waves. The music of the new album has already received great reviews in Finland and abroad (Soundi / Lotta Savolainen, Desibeli / Mika Roth, The Walker´s / Masayuki Koito).
