The Nordic network of national jazz organizations and club & festival promotors opens a call for bands to participate in a showcase and educational event in Sweden on May 11–12, 2023. The deadline for applying is September 30, 2022.


Villa Karo’s residency open call for 2023 closes September 19

Villa Karo is a Finnish-African cultural center, which is located in the village of Grand-Popo, Benin, West Africa. The center’s goal is to enhance the African knowledge of Finnish cultural figures, promote collaboration between Finnish and African artists and researchers as well as to support Finland and Benin’s cultural exchange.

Jazz-Espa concert series brought contemporary jazz to 5.500 listeners

The Finnish Jazz Federation (Jazz Finland) celebrated the 23rd edition of the Jazz-Espa open air event in late July with a set of greener production solutions and an emphasis on safer spaces. The participants are encouraged to leave feedback about the event before August 31, 2022.

Porvoo Jazz Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary in September

This year, Porvoo Jazz Festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary. In honor of the anniversary we will see a wider set of jazz concerts during the festival on September 23–25. The concert venues are Porvoo Jazz’s own cultural space Vanha 123, Porvoon Taidetehdas, RUNO Hotel Porvoo, and as a new addition, the rough, beautiful and atmospheric old locomotive stables of Porvoo's Old Railway Station.
