Iro Haarla tours Australia in October

Sydney Improvised Music Association SIMA has invited musician Iro Haarla as a guest to several projects in October 2022. Haarla will perform at three festivals in Melbourne, Wangaratta and Sydney.


Adele Sauros Quartet on Nordic Jazz Comets tour in Sweden

Finnish Jazz Federation develops the sustainability of touring concepts. During fall 2022, we study the emissions of seven differently produced tours, and collect data about their impacts and user experiences. The fifth of the pilot tours takes Adele Sauros Quartet to West-Southern Sweden to play four concerts at Knutpunkt network’s member clubs and participate in a video project.




New sustainable development tool tailored for the live music sector

Elma.live, a digital sustainability platform tailored specifically for the live music sector, was launched on 29 September at the Music x Media event. The project is administered by Finnish Jazz Federation, with the other KEMUT network members participating as collaborators.



10-year-old Porvoo Jazz Festival celebrates this weekend

This weekend 23.–25.9. it's finally time to celebrate Porvoo Jazz Festival's tenth anniversary. In honor of the celebration, ​​the festival will be bigger than ever before. The festival will include wonderful concerts and the food event MAT X JAZZ!


41th Tampere Jazz Happening takes place in November – Programme out

Taking place at the beginning of November, Tampere Jazz Happening will be entering a new decade this year as this will be the 41st edition of the festival – once again, the convincing programme includes musicians from several generations of jazz and a multitude of genres. Altogether 25 ensembles from Finland and around the world will perform from 3rd to 6th of November 2022 at the Pakkahuone and Klubi venues of Tullikamari as well as in restaurant Telakka. One of the performances will be a surprise concert from the winner of the Yrjö Award given by the Jazz Finland organisation.


We Jazz festival takes place in Helsinki November 27–December 4

The eight-day We Jazz festival presents the most versatile selection of music of the event so far in Helsinki from November 27 to December 4. Several of the performers will be heard in Finland for the first time, and numerous bands will take the stage for the first time in public. In addition, there are many new collaborations between visitors and domestic musicians and new performance venues. Tickets for the ninth We Jazz event will go on sale at Tiketti offices on September 14 at 9:00.
