The legendary Sir Tom Jones and domestic stars Pepe & Saimaa, Erja Lyytinen, Aili Ikonen and Arppa will perform at Pori Jazz in July 2023.
Guitarist and oud player Jussi Reijonen, who rarely performs in Finland, will give concerts between February 24–27 in Espoo, Tampere, Oulu and Rovaniemi. The tour follows Reijonen's Three Seconds | Kolme Toista album, released in October 2022, which has collected top reviews both domestically and around the world.

The full program of the 37th April Jazz Festival has been published. New additions to the program include the multiple Grammy nominee The Baylor Project (US), the luminous R&B singer Judith Hill (US), Yumi Ito (CH) and Steve Coleman And Five Elements (US), who inspired an entire jazz generation. The festival will also feature the album releases of Jukka Linkola's The Tentet and Antti Lötjönen Quintet East.
A two-part special concert by guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel will take place at the Savoy JAZZFest in March. Other performers ath festival include e.g. bassist Dave Holland, pianist Gerald Clayton, singer Samara Joy and vibraphonist Chien Chien Lu. The program of the festival, organized for the fifth time this March, is curated by the new artistic director Kaisa Mäensivu.
Held every other year, the Helsinki International Big Band Composing Contest will be organized again in 2023 by the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and The Finnish Big Band Association (SBBY). The competition, previously known as the Esko Linnavalli big band composition competition, was reformed two years ago, and the rules have been slightly modified again in this year’s edition.
