Sello Hall’s 20th anniversary program for spring published

Sello Hall again offers experiences for every taste. In the spring season, the program includes rising stars in the pop world and brilliant favorites, long-standing jazz and world music names and, of course, also charming performances for the whole family.


The headliners for 2023 April Jazz announced - Billy Cobham, Lizz Wright and Mnozil Brass are coming to Espoo

The 37th April Jazz festival will take place in Espoo from 21 to 29 April 2023. The festival's main concerts will feature fusion drummer Billy Cobham, singer Lizz Wright with her band,one of the world's leading brass bands Mnozil Brass from Austria, rising fado star Sara Correia, and Tapiola Sinfonietta, who will perform two new concertos. Ticket sales open at Lippupiste on Wednesday 7 December.





We Jazz festival started with sold-out nights, last-minute additions to the program

The eight-day We Jazz festivalin Helsinki presents its most varied program so far  from November 27 to December 4. The opening concert, opening brunch and Monday's secret gig have been sold out. There are still last minute additions to the program to be announced. In addition, the film program and the content of Friday's professional program have still surprises to yield.


Designers tours Finland and performs at We Jazz Festival

Led by bassist Joachim Florentin, Designers is a new band born in France, whose minimalist but rich sound is built by the collaboration of three equally strong, creatively improvising artists. Florentin is accompanied by pianist Aki Rissanen and Australian drummer Will Guthrie. We Jazz releases the band's debut album and invites them to perform at the We Jazz 2022 festival on December 1. Vapaat äänet organizes a tour for the trio around this concert in Helsinki. The Designers trio will be heard in Loimaa on November 29, Seinäjoki on November 30, Rajamäki on December 4 and in Turku on December 5.


UMO serves up Twin Peaks themes and video installations with jazz

Angelo Badalamenti's and David Lynch's legendary Twin Peaks theme songs come to life in the treatment of the Pink Twins artist duo, UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and jazz singer Kadi Vija in Espoo's Sellosali and Vantaa's Kulttuuritalo Martinus at the end of November. Electronic music blended with big band jazz is accompanied by spectacular video installations.


Samuel Blaser trio tours Finland in November

Swiss star trombonist Samuel Blaser brings his trio to Finland, where he is joined by French guitarist Marc Ducret and Danish drummer Peter Bruun. This international top trio will be heard from 15.-17.11. in Turku and Tampere.
