The association of Finnish freelance musicians has awarded their annual grant to saxophonist Linda Fredriksson. Fredriksson works widely in the field of music as a soloist, composer and band leader both in Finland and abroad. During her career she has been part of ensembles such as Mopo, Ricky-Tick Big Band, Ultra Bra among others.
The top musicians of contemporary folk music join forces on Henna-Maija Vannemaa Quartet’s new album “Haave”. Vannemaa was selected as the Accordion Artist of 2019 by the Suomen Harmonikkaliitto (the Finnish Accordion Association).
The album was published in collaboration with the Global Music Centre in November 2019 as part of Etnosoi! Festival.
