One of the European jazz forefronters, Aki Rissanen Trio starts a tour in April. Aki Rissanen Trio started their Art In Motion album release tour in autumn 2019, and is now finishing it with seven concerts. In addition to pianist Aki Rissanen, the trio is formed by bassist Antti Lötjönen and drummer Teppo Mäkynen. The tour is co-produced by Raitala Music Oy and Jazz Finland.
Aki Rissanen Trio is one of the most prestigious groups in Finland and a rising star of European jazz scene. They have released already three albums on British label Edition Records, bringing Rissanen an international breakthrough. The latest album Art In Motion was selected by Helsingin Sanomat as another of the two best jazz albums of 2019, and was mentioned as Editor's Pick in Downbeat magazine. On the upcoming tour, the trio performs music from the latest album.
The tour is produced by Raitala Music Oy with support from Jazz Finland.
