Nordic jazz bands and promotors play together in the Key of Green

Jazz Finland coordinates a pilot project, where 14 Nordic jazz clubs and festivals, 5 jazz ensembles and 5 jazz organizations pull together to promote greener jazz touring and events. The bands are featured in a free stream of live concerts from five different cities on December 2. The Nordic Jazz Comets showcase is part of the programme of We Jazz 2020 festival, and the concert of the Finnish act Kadi Vija Key Project, is streamed live from G Livelab in Helsinki.


Dalindèo on their record release tour 28th November–11th December

Dalindèo will present their new album Follow the Dark Money on a record release tour in November-December. The statement-making album by the band led by Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen will come to life on live stages in Helsinki, Savonlinna, Jyväskylä and Turku.


Dark Horse releases their new album Listen today

Piano trio Dark Horse will celebrate their fresh album with We Jazz by performing in Helsinki on December 3rd. We Jazz Records releases the Swedish band's Listen album both on vinyl and digitally.


Symphonic Jazz in Moldova and Finland

Symphonic Jazz in Moldova was designed as a four-concert series, where a Finnish jazz quartet meets the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra. The orchestral arrangements are mainly by Sampo Kasurinen, the compositions and lyrics are written by Tuomas J. Turunen and Elena Mindru.





Gourmet's album New Habitat unveiled

The internationally renowned instrumental band Gourmet has released its fifth album, New Habitat. Lead by saxophonist Mikko Innanen and guitarist Esa Onttonen, the sextet's new release features as its guest artist opera singer Mari Palo.



Ticket sales for the Archipelago Sea Jazz festival series begins

Archipelago Sea Jazz is a new, internationally appealing festival series built around high-quality jazz music and the unique attraction of our archipelago. Despite having to cancel this summer’s festivals, the organisers were not discouraged and tickets for next year were released with a hopeful mind on Wednesday 4 November. It is possible to support the Baltic Sea in conjunction with the Archipelago Sea Jazz events.
