Jazz City Turku will host its December program only online

The new gathering restrictions in Southwest Finland will cause changes to Jazz City Turku’s concert program. Jukka Perko's Early Birds sold out concert will now be played on the stage of Café Tiljan without an audience as an online broadcast on Facebook Live. Åbo Svenska Teater will contact all those who bought a ticket in advance.



Sointi Jazz Orchestra's last concert of the year streamed live December 1st

Sointi Jazz Orchestra's last concert of the year will be broadcast from the Kapsäkki Music Theater as a live stream on the orchestra's Facebook page and Keikalla.fi website. Via Keikalla.fi, you can support the orchestra's musicians with an optional 5-30 euro support ticket and watch the concert recording for another 7 days after the performance.


The Jazz & Etno Finland LIVE subsidy scheme, administered by the Finnish Music Foundation (MES), extends to cover all music genres and/or any combinations of them. The scheme has been renamed Music Finland LIVE

Music Finland LIVE is a subsidy scheme for the independent and freelance music sector, and all music genres are eligible. It flows on from two preceding pilot programs: the Jazz Finland LIVE subsidy was established in 2016, and subsequently relaunched as Jazz & Etno Finland LIVE subsidy. Now the subsidy is open for applications towards professional and regular club or concert activities in 2021, and all music genres are eligible.


Free Nordic Jazz Comets stream showcase on 2 December

Due to the cancellation of the We Jazz 2020 festival, the Nordic Jazz Comets showcase moves to the We Jazz YouTube channel on Wednesday, December 2. Kadi Vija Key Project's show will be streamed with no audience at G Livelab Helsinki, and the four other bands perform in their hometowns around the Nordic states.
