We Jazz Festival in Helsinki, November 20–29 – first performers announced
The twelth We Jazz festival is organized in Helsinki November 20–29. The first performers have been announced, including guitarist legend Bill Frisell who makes his first performance at the festival, spoken word vocalist aja monet and the mystical London ensemble Ill Considered. The joint production tour of the Finnish Jazz Federation and the Vapaat äänet agency brings together violist Séverine Morfin’s ensemble Mad Maple and the duo of vocalist Selma Savolainen and bassist Eero Tikkanen. Some of the tour concerts are part of the Better Live project, which focuses on developing more ecologically and socially sustainable touring in Europe.
