Finnish live music industry released their climate roadmap

The Finnish music stakeholders have developed and released a joint climate roadmap for the live music industry. At the same time, the first study on the climate impact of live music in Finland was published. Climate change requires society’s ability and readiness to change practices, and the live music industry aims to lead the way towards carbon neutrality by 2035.


Jazz Finland Residency welcomes Joris Roelofs

Finnish Jazz Federation, Sibelius Academy Jazz Music Department at Uniarts Helsinki, UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and the Finnish Musicians’ Union Jazz Finland Residency program is happy to feature Dutch clarinettist, flutist and saxophonist Joris Roelofs as the next artist-in-residence from November 6th until November 20th. Roelofs will also give concerts at Porvoo Jazz Festival September 30th and with Hietsu is Happening October 1st.


Jumpru x OMJ Jazz Patio summer 2023 program announced

The Jazz Patio, organized in collaboration with Oulu Music Festival and Jumpru Pub, will once again conquer the summer Tuesdays in Oulu from June 13 to August 17, 2023. Since 2016, the Jazz Patio summers have included many amazing jazz performances from both local and visiting bands.


New Grotesk Live series starts in June

New live series Grotesk Live brings together some of Finland’s finest musicians to showcase music within different styles and flavours. 
A free weekly club-styled event focuses on high quality and street credible artists. Grotesk Live starts on June 8th.
 





Jazz Camp for Girls takes place in Turku in the last week of July

The admission-free Jazz Camp for Girls offers exciting and fun musical moments during the summer vacation for girls aged 10–15. During the four-day camp, you get to create and form your own band, compose your own music and play together in the final concert. All girls who are enthusiastic about playing instruments can join, regardless of level of playing.
