The fourth album Fables is issued on British Edition Records.
Turku Conservatory and Turku Jazz Orchestra organise Rytmimusiikin viikonloppu (Weekend of Jazz) for the second time for professional and amateurs musicians and jazz enthusiasts.
To be organised at Music Centre in Helsinki 15- 17 October, this year’s DIG. festival features American drummer Jeff “Tain” Watts, Brazilian guitarist and vocalist Chico Pinheiro and sax players Fredrik Lndborg, Walter Smith III and Jerry Bergonzi. UMO Jazz Orchestra and the congregation of Kallio organise concert event Human meets Human for asylum seekers lodging at the reception centres of Helsinki. The event takes place at Kallio Church and Kallio Church park on Monday 28 September from 3-5PM. All are welcome.

Flame Jazz Talent Night, focussing on up-and-coming jazz stars, presents Teemu Åkerblom Quartet in an album-launching show at Turku's Jazz Club Monk. The album came out roughly a week ago on the legendary label Jazzaggression, run by Finland-based Norwegian DJ Fredrik Lavik. Åkerblom’s album sees a new chapter in the label's catalogue, so far mainly specified on reissues.
