Led by acclaimed guitarist Raoul Björkenheim (Sound & Fury, Krakatau, UMO), Raoul Björknheim Ecstacy issues their sophomore album on 16 October. The recording, "Out of the Blue", comes out on American label Cuneiform and it can be described as a follow-up to the self-titled debut. In other words, we are in for a cocktail of free improvisation and rocking energy.
Four albums are to be released by artists Aki Rissanen, Mikko Innanen, Joonas Riippa and quintet Röd/Blå. Two launch shows are to take place in Helsinki and Turku.

Starting from Helsinki on 29 September, Free Voices, Free Sounds tour takes the French violinist to 14 different locations around Finland. UMO Jazz Orchestra and the congregation of Kallio organise concert event Human meets Human for asylum seekers lodging at the reception centres of Helsinki. The event takes place at Kallio Church and Kallio Church park on Monday 28 September from 3-5PM. All are welcome.
More compositions are expected to enter the competition for jazz composers hailing from Southwest Finland.
