Not lacking in either depth or fiery energy, bassist Teemu Åkerblom’s quartet brings out their debut on 18 September. The group will perform live at Jazz Business Club on the release date, and at the We Jazz 2015 Festival and in Helsinki and Flame Jazz concert series in Turku later this autumn.

The trio, whose released a new album last spring, is to tour Finland between 13 - 24 October. One of the rising stars of European jazz, David Helbock, brings his trio to Turku’s Café Tiljan on 11 September. Helbock, whose most recent recording, Aural Colors, has received plenty of acclaim in international media, is one of this autumn’s international guests of the Flame Jazz concert series.
The 34th Tampere Jazz Happening brings some of the most intriguing names of contemporary jazz to the venues of Pakkahuone, Klubi and Telakka. The programme features 26 acts in total, 18 of which are international.
We Jazz festival, Helsinki’s largest-scale annual jazz event, is organised in December 2015 for the third time. The Turku-based concert series Flame Jazz and Food & Fun Turku have joined forces on a new concept that brings together top jazz and delicious food in a fresh, new way. The collaborative venture kicks off on the first weekend of September, at the Flame Jazz Opening Weekend, offering the audience a treat in many senses of the word.
