Umo and vocalist Emma Salokoski are heading for a Christmas tour in December. The tour features six concerts in five cities: Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Porvoo and Tampere, from where the tour starts on 7 December.

Jazz trumpetist Jukka Eskola appointed artistic director for Oulu All Star Big Band
Jukka Eskola has been designated as the artistic director for Oulu All Star Big Band and will start in his new position in the beginning of 2019. This week Eskola is seen as the soloist of the Oulu All Star Big Band, together with saxophonist Jukka Perko, as the orchestra performs Jazz Noir from Jussi Lampela.

The Quatuor Machaut on a Finnish and Baltic tour in September-October
The French saxophone ensemble Quatuor Machaut combines the art of early polyphonic music and of improvised music in a unique approach. From September 23rd to October 6th the quartet will perform twelve concerts in Finland, Estonia and Latvia.

Jazz vocalist and composer Sanna Ruohoniemi is set to release her sophomore album "Start from Nothing" (Eclipse Music) in Finland on 29 September and internationally on 12 October.
