Puistoblues has announced first acts for next year’s festival located in Järvenpää.
Three energetic new generation blues ensembles are seen on the main stage on 29 July: American Larkin Poe, Canadian Joey Landreth, and British Laurence Jones.
The tickets for Puistoblues are available to purchase on Lippupiste. Special price tickets for the main concert are on sale until the end of the year.
Larkin Poe consists of two sisters, Rebecca Lovell (vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, piano) and Megan Lovell (vocals, lap steel). Their music is full of southern atmosphere, heavy riffs and slide guitar. The duo releases their new album, Venom & Faith, in December.
British blues guitarist and singer-songwriter, Laurence Jones, offers young sound of blues as he has been called the “future of the blues”. 25-year-old Liverpool-born Jones was selected as the Young Artist of the Year in 2014-2016 at the British Blues Awards and as the Guitarist of the Year in 2016 at the British Blues Awards, and in 2015 at the Eurupean Blues Awards.
Joey Landreth is Canada’s gift for blues. Landreth has a unique talent to captivate the listeners with his delicate and soulful style. Before his solo career, Landreth has toured with Bros. Landreth ensemble, which he formed together with his brother David.
Puistoblues is a five-day festival, which has been arranged since 1978. In 2019, the event is held from 26 to 30 June.
