Astoria Jazz Festival will be postponed to Spring 2021

Due to the new regulations made by the government in week 40 and the restrictions of the Regional State Administrative Agency, Astoria Jazz Festival and Pete Parkkonen & Free Fall concert, scheduled respectively from 9 to 11 October and for 16th October, cannot be implemented at this time.



Tampere Jazz Happening programme announced

Tampere Jazz Happening will be held this year featuring solely domestic artists and ensembles. On this exceptional year, the festival will be organized in a slightly smaller scale than usual. During the four festival days of October 29th-November 1st 2020, a total of 18 bands will perform at Pakkahuone and Telakka.




Jeppis Jazz Festival will take place September 30th–October 4th, 2020

Due to the exceptional year 2020, the program of Jeppis Jazz Festival will include only domestic artists. The festival has a comprehensive program for various jazz players, especially from the Ostrobothnia region. Every night there will be jam sessions where artists and local musicians get to play together.


April Jazz's autumn club series kicks off at WeeGee

The concert series, co-produced by April Jazz and the exhibition center WeeGee, brings top Finnish jazz to the museum environment. Live music is played on the first Friday nights of the month in an afterwork spirit, with free admission to concerts and WeeGee museums. During the autumn, the record releases of Elifantree and Riitta Paakki Quartet will be celebrated at Weegee, and the new Finnish line-up of Iiro Rantala and Maja Mannila will perform among others.
