Raoul Björkenheim's 40th anniversary concert at Sello Hall on 24 March

This spring, Raoul Björkenheim celebrates his 40-year career as an artist on tour with his band eCsTaSy. The tour begins with a 40th anniversary concert at Espoo's Sello Hall on Thursday, 24 March. In addition to eCsTaSy, the concert will feature a duo of Juhani Aaltonen and Björkenheim. After this festive kick-off in Espoo, the guitarist's quartet tour between 28 March–10 April in Finland and visit seven locations: Tampere, Savonlinna, Joensuu, Kuopio, Turku, Seinäjoki and Kuusankoski.







Kaisa Mäensivu announced as Savoy JAZZFest’s new Artistic Director

Held in the shadow of war and the pandemic, the fourth Savoy JAZZFest on March 2-3, 2020 ended with a concert by Christian McBride at the Savoy Theater on Sunday. The festival was the last on for artistic director and trumpet player Jukka Eskola. Bassist Kaisa Mäensivu has been chosen as the new artistic director. Next year, Savoy JAZZFest will be held from March 2 to 5, 2023, and its Blind Bird tickets are now on sale.




Equality in the Music Industry Survey – deadline 8 March

Finnish Musicians’ Union, Finnish Music Creators, Music Finland, IFPI Finland, The Collective Management Organisation for Recorded Music in Finland, Jazz Finland, The Finnish Music Publishers Association, Association of Finnish Symphony Orchestras, The Society of Finnish Composers and Finnish Composers’ Copyright Society Teosto are inviting all members of the Finnish music industry to participate in a short survey on the topic of equality in the music industry.
