Pope Puolitaival Nordic4 on tour in April

entry-image

Pope Puolitaival Nordic4's co-production tour with Jazz Finland extends to six locations throughout Finland.

The music of the quartet, lead by saxophonist Pope Puolitaival, is melodic jazz with a strong emphasis on improvisation. The songs and their interpretation extend beyond the musical genre boundaries without compromising the deepest essence of jazz.

Known for his strong sound and expressive playing, Pope Puolitaival is one of Finland's busiest jazz saxophonists, and in addition to his own band, he plays in many of Finland's leading bands, from big bands to smaller ensembles. Pope Puolitaival Nordic4 released their debut album Northern Resonance in the fall of 2019.
