Turku Jazz Festival will be held this year for the 54th time. Trumpeter Mikko Gunu Karjalainen shines as the festival's Artist of the Year, and Logomo's festival stage will present, among others, jazz legends Dave Holland and Eero Koivistoinen. Saturday evening March 4 culminates with a performance of Turku Jazz Orchestra and Astrid Nicole's Beyoncé! project.

Sointi Jazz Orchestra's 10th anniversary year starts in March with three joint concerts with contemporary folk music duo VILDÁ on March 16–18 in Helsinki, Kangasa and Porvoo. In addition, the spring program includes a concert with composer-pianist Sid Hille on April 14 in Temppeliaukio church, and May 16 an evening of new music at Malmitalo, where Tero Hyväluomaa will be heard as violin soloist.

Award-winning pianist and composer Iro Haarla will perform her latest ballads with her jazz quintet in three concerts in February-March. The nominees for the 2023 Teosto Prize were selected from Finnish works of music published in 2022. The Teosto Prize, which was first awarded in 2003 and is now being awarded for the 18th time, is one of the most noteworthy art prizes in the Nordic countries. Guitarist and oud player Jussi Reijonen, who rarely performs in Finland, will give concerts between February 24–27 in Espoo, Tampere, Oulu and Rovaniemi. The tour follows Reijonen's Three Seconds | Kolme Toista album, released in October 2022, which has collected top reviews both domestically and around the world.
