UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and pianist-harpist Iro Haarla collaboration continues at Easter time with Silent Music church tour. Tour visits Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Askola and Porvoo.
Air Force Big Band released a new album Maisemakuvia Suomesta on April 4th to celebrate the 200th anniversary of military music. Multi-instrumentalist Pepa Päivinen is the soloist of the album with saxophones and flute. The album consists of Anssi Tikanmäki´s compositions that are now rearranged and recorded for the first time for big band. The album release concert is held the same day in Tavastia, Helsinki.
Visually imaginative music video Opening plays with shadows and light. The band Tuomas Paukku Scription also performs in Turku and Joensuu this month.
