The annual Jazz-Espa festival will again be held in Helsinki's Esplanade Park from July 29 to August 3, 2024. During the week, the free concerts will feature a diverse lineup of jazz bands, including Selma Savolainen Horror Vacui, Juho Valjakka Trio, Freezer, Kadi Vija Key Project, Sanna Ruohoniemi, Emmi U. Trio, and Janne Huttunen Quintet.
The Turku Sea Jazz, now in its fourth year, will kick off at the Kirkkopuiston Terassi on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, with Thursday being spent on Seili Island. The weekend concerts will take place on August 2–3, 2024, in the Forum Marinum maritime center area along the Aura River. This year, the top names in Finnish jazz will be heard even more extensively in various venues within the maritime museum from morning till night. During the festival week, there will also be a Jazz Camp for Girls, launched by the Danish Jazz Federation.
The summer Jazzpatio, organized in collaboration between Oulu Music Festival and Jumpru Pub, continues its tradition this summer. On Tuesdays from June 11 to August 6, and on Thursday, August 15 during the Night of the Arts, a total of ten jazz bands and artists will perform on the patio of Jumpru Pub. Admission is free.
Swinging Europe is excited to announce the open call for the “MEETING POINT” project, an enriching two-year residency exchange program designed for emerging musicians, performing artists, dancers, and visual artists.
