Funky Awards 2024 voting is open until the end of January

Funky Awards returns to celebrate the best of the soulful Suomi! The award ceremony brings together the highlights of the Finnish black roots music released during the year 2024 and searches for the hottest artists, bands, songs and music videos of them all with the help of the jury and the public vote.







Apply to Perform at Jazz-Espa Summer 2025

The Finnish Jazz Federation is once again organizing a series of free outdoor concerts at the Esplanade Park stage in Helsinki from July 28 to August 2, 2025. Applications for performers will open on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM and close on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 4:00 PM. You can apply to perform at Jazz-Espa using an online form, accessible via the link at the end of this article.


Tuure Kilpeläinen embarks on jazz tour in December

Singer-songwriter Tuure Kilpeläinen surprises audiences by venturing on a jazz tour in mid-December. Kilpeläinen teams up with legendary American trumpeter Randy Brecker and five other musicians for the New York Suite: Tales from the Journey tour.


Grammy-Winning Jazz Guitarist Bill Frisell will perform at Savoy JAZZFest

Savoy JAZZFest, one of the Helsinki metropolitan area’s premier jazz events, has announced additional acts for next year’s program. The festival, taking place in early March, will feature Grammy-winning jazz guitarist Bill Frisell (USA) in its Saturday closing concert. Earlier that same day, the stage at Savoy Theater will host award-winning bassist Kaisa Mäensivu’s Kaisa’s Machine, joined by renowned American tenor saxophonist Mark Turner. Tickets for Savoy JAZZFest will go on sale on Friday, November 29, at 12:00 PM via Lippu.fi.
