Turku Jazz Festival broke records

The 47th Turku Jazz Festival took place a week ago -- now for the first time as a part of the project Jazz City Turku. Artistic and financial aspects met rather than clashed: a top-class Finnish jazz drew more audience than ever before. 



New club G Livelab opens this August

Designed with exceptional live acoustics in mind, the new venue G Livelab aims to offer a comprehensive live music experience. Seating 150 people, the new club has started with a bang and announced a string of stellar acts – both Finnish and international.



Turku Jazz Festival kicks off at the Turku Night of the Arts

Finland’s second oldest jazz festival, Turku Jazz Festival, is just round the corner. The festival will now be organised for the first time as a part of the project, Jazz City Turku. The programme is composed of hot, big names of Finnish jazz – including Jukka Perko, Nina Mya, Dalindèo and Eero Koivistoinen.




The spring season of Turku Jazz City broke records

The recently-launched cultural coalition, Jazz City Turku, which has seen three local players – the concert series Flame Jazz, the big band Turku Jazz Orchestra and the Turku Jazz Festival – join forces, has proved this spring that together is better than alone. It now looks more than likely that the tight co-operation will result in the most successful jazz year the city has ever seen.
