Espoo Big Band (EBB) is one of Finland's most prominent big jazz orchestras and it is especially known for performing new Finnish big band music. Previously EBB has toured in Asia, Australia and Brazil, performed at several significant festivals such as Detroit, Montreaux and Paris and released ten albums. The big band hosts annually the April Jazz Festival, one of Finland's biggest jazz festivals,  where it has accompanied such jazz masters as Freddie Hubbard, Ray Charles, McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson, Billy Cobham, Trilok Gurtu, Diane Schuur, Patti Austin, Carla Bley and Maria Schneider.

The group was established in 1980 and it is currently going through a new active period. Espoo Big Band´s 2019 released album Espoo Suite, composed by EBB´s conducter Marzi Nyman, is finnish big band music at its best. Espoo inspired compositions takes the listener through history of Espoo. The Espoo Suite is a eagerly awaited sequel to the 2016 released album "Lauma".
