Trumpetist Jukka Eskola (b. 1978) belongs to the most distinguished jazzmusicians in Finland today. Eskola, who is in his repertoire mainly focused on modern club jazz, has played with several Finnish and international artists and groups, the most famous of which probably being the renowned The Five Corners Quintet. Eskola was awarded the Sony Jazz Award in 2006 and chosen as the Pori Jazz Artist of the Year in 2007. The trumpeter has also released three solo albums.
