Jukka Perkon uuden Tritone-yhtyeen levy Dizzy julkaistaan huhtikuun lopussa
Perkon, Antti Lötjösen ja Teppo Mäkysen trio tutkii uudella levyllään trumpetistilegenda Dizzy Gillespien musiikkia. Perko itse soitti Gillespien big bändissä teinisensaationa 1987-88. Uuden levyn kansivihko dokumentoi Perkon vaiheita Dizzyn orkesterissa kertomusten ja lehtileikkeiden avulla.
Jukka Eskola Soul Trio laajalle levyjulkaisukiertueelle toukokuussa
Jukka Eskola Soul Trio julkaisee yhtyeen nimeä kantavan albumin 5. toukokuuta ja juhlistaa sitä kahdeksan paikkakuntaa kattavalla kiertueella 5.-20.5.

Jazzliitto toimii jatkossa kansainvälisesti nimellä Jazz Finland. Jazz Finland osallistuu vuotuisille jazzahead!-messuille Music Finlandin ja suomalaisten artistien sekä yritysten tiedotuksen tukena.

Music Finland proudly presents Jazz aus Finnland
Finnish jazz scene is widely presented in this year’s jazzahead! program, from the official opening and showcases to the trade fair, from Gala concert to the Club Night. The country partnership of Finland kicked off with Kultur aus Finnland, a multifaceted cultural festival taking place in the major cultural institutions of Bremen. Music Finland is gathering all the Finnish delegates under one umbrella, so come and visit us at our cozy stand 6B40, or the sofas of the Partner Country Lounge. Welcome, tervetuloa, willkommen!
Kitaristi Vilkka Wahl on Turku Jazzin vuoden artisti 2017
Turku Jazz Festival nimeää vuosittain ansioituneen jazzmuusikon Turku Jazzin vuoden artistiksi. Vuoden artisti 2017 on turkulaislähtöinen kitaristi Vilkka Wahl. Hän tuo elokuisen tapahtuman lavalle uuden, nimekkään kvintettinsä debyyttialbumin julkaisun merkeissä.

Legendaarisen kitaristin Raoul Björkenheimin luotsaama kokoonpano Raoul Björkenheim Triadin uusi levy Beyond julkaistaan 21.4. Saksassa ja Keski-Euroopassa levy julkaistaan toukokuussa.
