Archipelago Sea Jazz is new internationally appealing festival based on the unique attraction of our archipelago and the high-quality jazz music.
The autumn season of Helsinki Jazz's jaZZanti concert series is interesting an full of international guests. More Nordic guest and co-performances with Finnish artists are seen as a continuation to spring season 2019.
Flame Jazz Cruise takes over the Baltic Sea the 15th time. The versatile programme on Viking Grace offers music from elements of blues and country to electronic visions through soul and jazz nostalgia. International colour is brought from Italy and Lithuania.
Alder Ego quartet, led by drummer-composer Joonas Leppänen, starts the fall season tour productions by Jazz Finland (Suomen Jazzliitto). During their tour on September 25 – October 4, the band visits eight Finnish jazz clubs and festivals, from the northernmost Oulu to eastern Joensuu and Espoo in the south and Raahe on the west coast.
The Tampere Jazz Happening festival will be organized for the 38th time between 31st October and 3rd November, 2019. The festival includes ten concert events with performances by altogether 25 ensembles and orchestras.
Lahden Jazztori brings rhythm music to Lahti from Sunday to Sunday on 22 to 29 September.
The festival published its programme and magazine on Friday. We Jazz is organised for the seventh time this year and offers an inspirational glance of Finnish and international jazz music. In addition to Helsinki, the event spreads out to Tampere and Tallinn.
Petri “Pope” Puolitaival, who has performed over 20 years with different ensembles, releases his own debut album Northern Resonance with Pope Puolitaival Nordic4.
AHQ released its sophomore album Frost in August and is now touring seven cities around Finland.
