Janet Evra tours in Finland in August

American singer and bassist Janet Evra will arrive in Finland as the main performer of Linnajazz in Hämeenlinna in August. In addition to Linnajazz, Evra will give concerts at Sawohouse in Kuopio and Kouta-Sali in Kajaani.


Jazz Jam & Brew at Konepaja Biergarten

The series of free jazz jams, Jazz Jam & Brew, started at Konepaja Biergarten on Thursday, July 1. Each evening is hosted by a unique houseband lineup that has chosen an inspiring theme for the jams.



Pori Jazz Ted Curson Award goes to Tuomo Prättälä

Tuomo Prättälä, known as a versatile musician, has been chosen as the recipient of the Pori Jazz Ted Curson Award. Trumpeter Tomi Nikku will be awarded as the rising talent of the year. Both award-winning musicians will perform at next week's Pori Jazz soi taas event, which will take place on July 15-17.


The 9th Porvoo Jazz Festival will be held on September 24-26

Despite the long and eventful corona spring, Porvoo Jazz Festival will be held again this year. The venue will be the festival's own home stage, Vanha 123, and the pop-up club 123 Kellari, which can be found downstairs. The festival's cooperation with Porvoo Art Hall continues, where you can enjoy music while admiring the exhibition of Kristin Wiking & Nina Wager. In addition to domestic jazz professionals, the festival will also get the long-awaited international color for the festival.


Odysseus Festival will be held from 24 to 25 July on n the island of Lonna

Odysseus Festival, produced by We Jazz, will take place for the first time on July 24 and 25 on the island of Lonna. In the two-day event will feature i.a. Timo Lassy, ​​Y-OTIS, Lucia Cadotsch Speak Low and Eero Koivistoinen Quartet. The event's programme is complemented by the mystical band Oiro Pena. The Hailu Mergia tour, on the other hand, is postponed due to travel restrictions.
