Koko Jazz Orchestra is a stunning jazz group founded in 2012 by drummer Jussi Lehtonen, bassist Timo Hirvonen and pianist Jussi Fredriksson. The orchestra is based at the one and only Koko Jazz Club in Helsinki.

KJO plays mostly compositions by its founders Lehtonen and Fredriksson arranged for four horns and a rhythm section. Koko Jazz Orchestra combines massive big band elements creatively with flexible small group expression.

Musicians of Koko Jazz Orchestra create an original combination of the strongest sounds in Finnish jazz. The group represents Finnish top quality jazz at its best!
