Mamie Jotax Delights Audiences in Late October-Early November Concerts

The magical sounds of the French saxophone duo Mamie Jotax will return to Finland in late October and early November. The top-tier duo, consisting of Camille Maussion and Carmen Le Francois, will be in an artist residency at the Oulainen Music Weeks from October 28–29, followed by performances in Helsinki on October 30–31, Turku on October 31, Loviisa on November 1, and Tampere on November 2 at the "Baby Jotax" concert.



12th Porvoo Jazz Festival Kicks Off with Saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen’s Concert at the Art Hall, Featuring Sounds of Whooper Swans

The 12th Porvoo Jazz Festival will be held from September 26th to 29th. The festival will take place in various venues, including the association’s own cultural space, Vanha 123, which will be equipped with top-notch sound systems in collaboration with Genelec. During the festival, the halls of Vanha 123 will be aptly named Genelec Lab 1 & 2. A new addition this year is a rustic pop-up space right next to Vanha 123: the former entertainment center Punainen Pantteri will transform into a relaxed concert venue called Vanha Pantteri for the duration of the festival.



Tenor Saxophonist Melissa Aldana (CL/US) Guest of Jazz Finland Residency in October

Melissa Aldana, one of the leading jazz voices of her generation, will visit Finland in October as part of the Jazz Finland Residency. During her two-week residency, Aldana will perform with UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra in Jyväskylä on October 9th, Lahti on October 10th, and Helsinki on October 11th. She will also appear as a guest with the Oulu All Star Big Band in Oulu on October 6th.
