Saxophonist-composer Timo Lassy and drummer-producer-DJ Teppo Mäkynen have co-worked in several significant jazz groups and both are valued artists and leaders of their own bands. The thought of performing as a duo was arised in the many sessions of rehearsals, recordings and producing. The duo allows the expressive and unique talent and the certainty of long co-playing be heard, since there isn't any other instruments. Strong rhythms, catchy themes and developing improvisation are strenghts for both of the artists.

Timo Lassy & Teppo Mäkynen Duo has relesed single "Calling James / Yanki" ( We Jazz 2017) and "Zomp / Dark Magenta" (We Jazz 2019). The new album Timo Lassy & Teppo Mäkynen was released in May 2019 on We Jazz Records. They have performed in Finland and Germany.
