Roast Burn Big Band was founded in spring 2018. The band consists mostly of young Finnish rhythm musicians, but there are also some musicians with longer careers. The RBBB has already got lots of attention in big band scene, and in October 2018 it won the Finnish Big Band Championship. The judges described the co-playing of the group excellent and big band tradition well-internalised. Also six members were awarded with personal recognitions for their soloism and section playing.

RBBB´s programme is versatile: in addition to their original music, they play also some big band classics, such as Bob Mintzer and Buddy Rich tunes. RBBB is conducted by Aarni Häkkinen.
