Kasperi Sarikoski & Nuance is a newish group, formed by young Finnish musicians equipped with first-class expressive skill. In their music, the band fuses the traditional building blocks of jazz and today's rhythms and sounds together. Despite drawing from the fields of rock and pop music, they do not hold eclecticism as a value in itself, but as a compass for arriving at their own, individual sound.

The quintet's sonic palette incorporates a wide variety of different tones and timbres, created in both acoustic and electric instruments and effects. The composer-trombonist Sarikoski's hand can be heard in the lyrical melodies and in the fragile, affecting moments; however, the group's unique sound emerges only when each of the five players adds his own personality in.
