Trumpet player Jukka Eskola ranks among the leading lights in the highly-regarded Finnish jazz scene. A key member of The Five Corners Quintet, Eskola has also made it big as the leader of his own quintet performing material from his two album. Jukka Eskola Quintet has toured extensively not only in his native Finland, but also in Japan where the trumpet great has a steady following. The lush orchestrations arranged by Jussi Lampela and heard on Eskola’s latest solo effort, “Walkover”, are finally adapted on stage at live gigs by Jukka Eskola Quintet.
