Joonas Tuuri Quartet plays its leader’s, bassist Joonas Tuuri’s original compositions. The band's music is new jazz interpreted with their own personal style, where melodiousness and strong rhythmic play a key role.  The music has drawn influence from people like Wayne Shorter, Chic Corean and Kendrick Scott Oracle. In addition to Tuuri, the ensemble consists of alto saxophonist Ilmari Rönkä, pianist Toomas Keksi-Säntti and drummer Anssi Tirkkonen.
