Sakari Kukko's new trio 'Helle' plays hot music based on Finnish and West African traditions, and compositions by great Finnish composers like Selim Palmgren, Oskar Merikanto a.o. Line-up offers a strong axis of Senegalese bass&drums played by first-class musicians chosen by Hasse Walli for his legendary Asamaan band.

Sometimes the band grows to a quartet, quintet, and even sextet formations, and there will be a string quartet led by Mikko-Ville Luolajan-Mikkola later on.
