Arto Ikävalko Trio plays original new jazz inspired by the mysteries of consciousness, meditation, and the threats and possibilities facing the Earth and humanity.

Pianist Arto Ikävalko has created compositions that evoke atmospheres of different worlds, each living its own life as the band members breathe spirit into them through their playing. There is plenty of room in the music for spontaneous creation and musical dialogue, which the musicians and audience alike dive into together.

The trio's debut album Changing the Priors will be released in April 2024 under the Bobcat Records label.
