Aarni Häkkinen Jazz Orchestra is led by Aarni Häkkinen and combines the ambition and skill of a young composer with the precise section playing and soloing of experienced musicians.

The ensemble performs Häkkinen's original music, which draws heavily from the tradition of African-American music. The composed material is complemented by improvised solos from some of the brightest stars in the Finnish rhythm music scene.

The Aarni Häkkinen Jazz Orchestra album was released in April 2023 on the Bopcat Records label.
