Nikita Rafaelov is a Helsinki-based pianist and composer, who released his solo debut Spirit of Gaia in 2018 on the Danish label Gotta Let It Out. Spirit of Gaia is a conceptual album, inspired by the circle of life, the infinite cycle of entropy and recreation. As a contrast to the album’s meticulously layered tapestries, on stage Rafaelov is wild and spontaneous improvisator, making every concert experience unique.
