Lasse Sakara (b. 1980) got interested in music already in a young age and started to take guitar lessons when he was 10-years-old. He studied guitar first at the Kerava Music School and continued later at the pop/jazz -pedagogue department of Stadia (Metropolia) University of Applied Sciences.
Sakara has during the years showed his versatility and flexibility on the fields of many different music styles. On the jazz field he is probably best known as the guitarist of drummer Olavi Louhivuori's Oddarrang-band but likewise he has showed his skills with schlager and pop music by playing in for example Samuli Edelmann's and Mikko Leppilampi's bands.
Sakara has also played in bands of several television shows and theatre plays, for example in tv-show Idols and in the theatre play Kutsumattomat vieraat. As a studiomusician he has recorded both on the Oddarrang's album Music Illustrated, that won the Jazz Emma Prize in 2006, and on albums of e.g. Jippu, Samuli Edelmann, Mikko Leppilampi, Lasse Mårtenson Tribute Orchestra, Juha Tapio, Husky Rescue and Essi Wuorela.
