Kalima has collaborated with such artists as trumpeter Tomasz Stanko, saxophonist Juhani Aaltonen, pianist Heikki Sarmanto, drummer Tony Allen, singer Linda Sharrock and bassist Ed Schuller. He does also co-operation with multi-instrumentalist Jimi Tenor. The last few years have been extremely busy for Kalima as he has been touring actively around Europe, Africa, Asia and the United States.

Kalima's current ensembles keep him busy touring in Central Europe. Tenors Of Kalma features multi-instrumentalist Jimi Tenor, K-18 is inspired by movies,  KUU! is a vocal jazz noir group. Most recently, Kalima has worked together with the Swiss vocalist Andreas Schaerer and drummer Lucas Niggli, and the Italian accordionist Luciano Biondini in a project called A Novel Of Anomaly. They are releasing an album on ACT label in 2018.  

The guitarist's other bands and projects include Johnny La Marama, Long Winding Road, Pentasonic, Klima Kalima, Oliwood, Z-Country Paradise and Oh-Kester Osloer 3.
