The programme release party takes place at Kahvila Sävy, with trumpeter Verneri Pohjola and drummer Sami Nummela both giving a solo set. Recorded music will be played by We Jazz DJs. We Jazz 2015 tabloid magazine will be issued in the same event.
The third annual We Jazz festival, scheduled for 7-13 December this year, is slowly but surely drawing nearer. The programme for the upcoming festival will be announced on 5 September at Helsinki Design Week. The occasion will be celebrated at Kahvila Sävy, one of last year’s and this year’s We Jazz Festival venues, in a cosy event where live music is provided by the internationally celebrated Verneri Pohjola on the trumpet and a younger lion, drummer Sami Nummela. In addition to solo sets the artists have promised to join forces at some point of the evening on a duo performance. We Jazz DJs – who have recently spun records at, for example, Pori Jazz, H2Ö Festival in Turku and at the We Jazz summer club – will complete the soundtrack of the night with the juiciest selection of jazz vinyl. The event will also see the first issue of the We Jazz tabloid magazine – hot off the press, naturally. Tickets are now available at Lippupalvelu.

Also the rare solo and duo performances from Verneri Pohjola and Sami Nummela reflect one of our guiding principles: an eagerness to offer something new and previously unheard of to our audience. The idea behind the We Jazz tabloid magazine is to provide a new, additional possibility to tune to the festival well before December.
We Jazz 2015 is organised on 7-13 December, invading a number of venues around the city of Helsinki. The festival brings us the best of Finnish jazz, not forgetting a number of dazzling international jazz stars. With the inclusion of the Sunday, the event spans now for the first time the whole week.
